I'm Ben Smith — a software developer with 15 years of experience building web applications, developer tools, and the occasional side project.

This site is where I write about what I'm learning, building, and thinking about. Some posts are technical deep-dives, others are reflections on the craft of software. All of them are things I found interesting enough to spend time with.

I believe the best interfaces are the ones that feel simple at first glance and reward you the more you use them. This site is my attempt to practice what I believe.
